| Summary: | In the present research work, explores the potential of the cadastre urban property as an important source of resources of the city of Loja, from an analysis of the budgets of the decentralized autonomous Government of the canton, during the period 2010-2013. The analysis uses data from a sample of farms in the citadel Stay North, and compared the prices recorded in the municipal land registry with a market valuation based on a survey of real estate experts. It was determined that there is a gap between the two valuations, coming to the conclusion that an adjustment in the determination of the tax base of the sites registered in the cadastre, would allow a notable increase in the heading of urban property tax to fund the growth of the city of Loja. |
