| Sumario: | Objective: determine the overall survival at 5 years and major complications in pediatric patients with leukemia and lymphomas. Methodology: descriptive-retrospective and cross-cutting approach. Results: through the Kaplan Meier survival probability curve patients with Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas were likely overall survival at 5 years of 100%, whereas the 5-year survival probability was 90% for leukemia’s. The major complications of the disease were: febrile neutropenia with 16.13%, leukopenia with 12.90%, anemia and pneumonia with a 9.68%, while the main pharmacological complications were; 21.33% abdominal pain, vomiting and fever with the 17.33% and alopecia with the 13.33%. Conclusions: global five-year survival in patients with leukemia and lymphomas is equivalent with the survival of the international literature. (Nottage, 2013) (Stefan, 2014) Complications most often were: febrile neutropenia, leukopenia, anemia and pneumonia as cause of disease and drug treatment have; abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, alopecia, allergic RASH, nausea and diarrhea. |
