Análisis enantiomérico y olfatométrico del aceite esencial de la planta Hedyosmum purpurascens con flores femeninas en la provincia de Loja

Abstract:In this work the analysis of the essential oil of the plant Hedyosmum purpurascens, extracted by steam distillation, obtaining a yield of 0.02%, was carried out. It presented a density of 0.93 g/cm3, refractive index of 1.484 and optical activity of +32.90°. A total of 67 compounds were ide...

Sumari:Abstract:In this work the analysis of the essential oil of the plant Hedyosmum purpurascens, extracted by steam distillation, obtaining a yield of 0.02%, was carried out. It presented a density of 0.93 g/cm3, refractive index of 1.484 and optical activity of +32.90°. A total of 67 compounds were identified corresponding to 93.78% of the total analyzed, the major compounds were: Germacrene D (19.5%), Caryophyllene <(Z) -> (7.3%), Cadinene <γ- > (6.1%), Linalool (5.8%), and Cis ocimene (5.2%). In addition, the distribution and enantiomeric excess of 8 pairs of enantiomers were determined: Pinene <β->, Camphenol <6->, (+) Linalool, Terpinen-4- ol, Copaene <β->, Amorphene <γ->, Cubebol, Muurolol <epi α->. In the olfactometric analysis, the dilution factor (FD) of the active components of odor of the oil was obtained, within which 8 compounds were identified; being the Linalool with the highest FD. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated, without presenting inhibitory activity; and the antioxidant activity was evaluated, being weak in both spectrophotometric tests: DPPH and ABTS.
