Ychwanegu Tag | Crynodeb: | In the present study the main reasons for consultation were determined in patients older than 15 years attending the outpatient department of the Hospital of the Technical University of Loja by reviewing medical records in order to develop the epidemiological profile of the institution. The project was descriptive, retrospective and transversal. Among the top 10 reasons for consultation are: abdominal pain 7.11%; control tests followed by 6.57%. 4.56% medical checkup. Low back pain 3.51%. Headache 2.89%. Cough 2.77%. Odynophagia 2.75%. Malaise 1.97%. Knee pain 1.66%. Dysuria 1.58%. The highest percentage of patients seen were female, the age group with more consultations between 20-39 years. The most consulted specialty was Internal Medicine. Initial symptoms that occurs with a significant percentage corresponds to abdominal pain being the most common symptom that brings patients to the outpatient clinic |
