To meet the stated objective was performed an inventory of road signs, the state of road infrastructure and road hierarchy, by applying formats designed for the purpose. as complementary information were obtained traffic accidents reports occurred in the last three years .in the study zone From the obtained results was designed the proposal of vertical and horizontal signaling acording to the NAVY-2012 legislation, which will help improve road safety and traffic flow in the center of Loja cityEl presente trabajo de fin de titulación tiene como objetivo principal la evaluación de la señalización horizontal y vertical existente en el casco céntrico de la ciudad de Loja y plantear una propuesta de diseño de señalización tanto vertical como horizontal bajo la Norma Ecuatoriana Vial – NEVI-2012 publicada por el Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Publicas de Ecuador, con el afán de brindar una alternativa para incrementar la seguridad vial y mejorar el flujo del tráfico en la ciudad de Loja. Para cumplir con el objetivo planteado se procedió a realizar un inventario de la señalización vial, del estado de la infraestructura vial y jerarquización vial, mediante la aplicación de formatos diseñados para el efecto. Así mismo como información complementaria se obtuvieron reportes de accidentes de tránsito ocurridos en los últimos tres años, en la zona de estudio.
