Tóm tắt: | A Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) experimental equipment is one of the powerful techniques in researching electronic transport properties through nano-contacts. The present experimental thesis is about the manufacture of low-cost, innovative, and compact equipment that exhibits the phenomenon of quantization of conductance at the nanoscale with a macroscopic gold wire joined with gold on glass substrates Au[111] terraces (product of ArrandeTM company) to perform Jump-to-Contact (JC) and Jump-Out-Contact (JOC) process. In other words, both objects interact, causing indentation and formation atomic on the film gold surface at a frequency of 10Hz DC, and then extract the respective data to perform statistical analysis. Within this framework, a histogram is built from conductance traces measurements at room conditions with results similar to STM’s employed in research institutes. Furthermore, it can display until a double chain (second peak) in the conductance histogram with data acquired from the ImageJ digitizer reported in the literature in chapter 4. This experimental equipment will be used as a pedagogical tool in the academy or in the nano-devices laboratory for developing new ideas for future projects and incentives to collaborate with other universities. |
