Özet:In this work, the validation of an analytical method was developed for the determination and quantification of atrazine and chlorpyrifos in banana matrix using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) with a QqQ configuration and electrospray ionization (ESI). QuEChERS extraction techniques based on the European standard UNE-EN 15662 were utilized, and the chromatographic and spectrometric conditions were adjusted to ensure the method's sensitivity and selectivity. No significant matrix effect was found, as the values were below the 20% threshold, with 16.01% for atrazine and a slight signal suppression of -4.33% observed for chlorpyrifos. Robust linearity was achieved, with correlation coefficients (R²) exceeding 0.99. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that the obtained limits of quantification (LOQ) were below the maximum residue limits (MRLs) established by the European Union, guaranteeing the method's capability to detect trace levels of these pesticides. The trueness of the method was determined by studying the recovery percentages under the acceptance criterion of 70%-120% suggested by the SANTE/11813/2017 guideline, which was met for atrazine but did not conform for chlorpyrifos. All procedures were carried out in the laboratories of the Phyto and Zoosanitary Regulation and Control Agency (AGROCALIDAD), under the technical supervision of its team, with the aim of ensuring the reliability and precision of the multiresidue pesticide quantification method in banana samples, ensuring the quality of exported bananas and safeguarding their reputation in international markets.
