Description
Summary:In this degree work, a data quality management model was designed applying the ISO 25012 Standard in the information systems of the Technology Unit of ESPAM MFL, with the purpose of regulating criteria and indicators of data quality in current and new systems. For this, the work was carried out in phases. In phase 1, the situation of ESPAM MFL Technology Unit was determined, referring to the requirements provided by the ISO 25012 standard. Then, in phase 2, the criteria and indicators of data quality within the information systems were defined. And finally, for phase 3, the data quality management model was created, so that the institution's technology coordination can carry out the standardization of quality processes. Regarding the results, the current situation of the Technology Coordination was identified through a Checklist that obtained data that was validated by the Likert scale. Subsequently, the application of criteria definition matrices and data quality indicators was carried out. Finally, the data quality management model provided a proposal for improvement to the Unit, since it allowed standardizing the data quality processes within the information systems and in this way generate adequate decision-making and application of good computer practices.
