Crynodeb:This study was carried out in the María Obdulia community in Urdaneta in Los Rios province. The objective was to develop a production management model that contributes to the improvement of the processes for tobacco plantation and export currently available in a company. To do so, a first tour of the facilities was carried out, where an observation form was filled out to show all the production processes and the way they are currently organized. The collection of information continued with an interview with the main director of the company so that he could explain in his own words how the organization and planning of the company works. Once the required information was gathered, we proceeded to characterize each process involved in tobacco production. Two main stages were identified, one for planning and another for production, each with its respective sub-processes; likewise, calculations were made for demand forecasting, master production schedule and a simulation for Material Requirements Planning (MRP classic) adapted to the reality of the crop under study, which was called Tobacco Crop Requirement Planning (TPRP), becoming a novel aspect in this research. When all the information was sorted out, a model was drawn up reflecting the production management that the company should have for its operational management.
