要約:The objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of lunar phases in the development and production of the cultivation of cassava INIAP Portoviejo 651 in the MFL ESPAM. We studied the phases of: full moon, quarter moon, new moon, waxing. We evaluated data on the percentage of arrest, plant height 54 days after sowing, yields: fresh cassava, commercial pieces, and starch in kilograms per hectare. The results show statistical significance in plant height at 54 days, the highest obtained was 93.8 cm during the full moon. There were no statistical differences for the variable performance of fresh cassava, commercial pieces and quantity of starch in kilograms per hectare. The economic analysis noted that cassava grown on full moon phase is the most profitable, with net income 1 872 dollars per hectare in production of fresh cassava, with an average yield of 752 pounds, if they become dry starch producing 115 pounds, which account for $2 853 of net income per hectare. It is concluded that lunar phases influence the plant height and economic profitability of the cultivation of cassava.
