Zusammenfassung: | The objective of this research was to evaluate the incidence of a community garden for food security of families in the Bellavista neighborhood in times of COVID-19 A total of 42 households were studied, mainly with the participation of women, housewives, with the predominant ages of 18-50 years. For the development of the research, a diagnosis of the current situation of food security was apparently carried out through surveys applied by the FAO where it was found that a food insecurity level of limit food consumption prevails; what is associated with socio-economic and cultural aspects; Regarding the establishment of a community garden as a food security strategy, there was active participation during the implementation of the training plan; which later implied an improvement in the food security indicators, finally, the incidence of a community garden for food security was determined, where a significant effect was obtained, which positively affects the food security index for the indicators of access and use of food in times of COVID-19; and in the dimensions of social knowledge such as: knowledge and importance of community gardens and willingness to participate in projects to contribute to food security |
