Evaluación de las potencialidades operativas del aeropuerto internacional Eloy Alfaro de Manta para incrementar la demanda turística en Manabí

This research has as objective the evaluation of the operational potential of the Eloy Alfaro International Airport of Manta, to increase the tourist demand in Manabí. For this, three objectives were proposed: the first situational diagnosis, where the areas of study (operational / administrative) were checked; the CPES matrix was used, which showed the problem by the main actors at the airport; the FODA matrix was applied in which it was determined that the expansion of the airport is necessary and therefore the insertion of services; the market study was carried out, where the services offered both inside and around the airport were determined through user surveys (internal / external) of the airport, which identified the main operational / administrative existing problems. The second objective consisted in the identification of strategies through the compilation of information of potential exporting companies and of services in which the need was affirmed as the new air frequencies existence, advertising of companies in the airport, and agility in procedures they require. The last objective was to determine the operational potential; between what is considered the expansion of air routes seeking to improve the operation of the Eloy Alfaro International Airport of Manta; generate agreements with private and public companies to increase the offer of services of the airport.
