Resumo:Electronic commerce provides multiple benefits to MSMEs, as well as to consumers, society, and the economy of the country as a whole, since it reduces costs and operating times, promotes value-added production, and generates sources of employment. The purpose of this research was to analyze electronic commerce in MSMEs of the Chone and Flavio Alfaro canton of the Manabí province to identify the factors that contribute or limit this activity. Thus, study methods such as inductive, deductive and analytical-synthetic were applied, as well as the use of research techniques such as interviews and surveys to identify the strengths and limitations of electronic commerce in MSMEs of the Chone and Flavio Alfaro canton. of the province of Manabí through the available information sources, in addition to knowing the decision elements that influence the consumer when carrying out electronic commerce transactions and thus a plan of strategies and activities for the applicability of electronic commerce was proposed. in MSMEs. As results, it was obtained that among the most relevant factors that are considered for Chone buyers with 32% is the fear that their products will not meet their expectations. In the case of Flavio Alfaro, the factor with the greatest impact with 40% is entering your bank details. Therefore, it was recommended that MSMEs look for alternatives that allow consumers to make their purchases.
