Summary:The purpose of this research was to analyze and improve the processes and procedures for teaching in the teaching, research and association units at Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí “Manuel Félix López". The methodology used consisted of developing a structured interview with each major director of the institution, thanks to which the information needed to be able to graphically represent the flowcharts and a record of the processes and procedures carried out within the teaching laboratories. The methods were applied to comply with the investigation phases, which allowed knowing the processes and procedures that are carried out in said units, verifying the deficiency they have and clearly exposing the results that were achieved. Applying the value-added analysis to these processes has resulted in the fact that most of them are in no way efficient and will cause problems for the institution in the future. A process manual is a necessary and effective guide for all units, since, by proposing improvements to these, it will be possible to increase the efficiency and also, the optimal development of the university.
