Summary:The objective of the research was to establish strategies based on e-commerce for the strengthening of agrotourism products in Portoviejo canton; which was descriptive of qualitative type. The research was based on three phases: the first consisted in the characterization of the study area and identification of agrotourism products, an interview was applied to travel agencies and tour operators in the canton stating that they lack agrotourism products for their commercialization. Then, through the bibliographic review and a technical file, it was possible to determine two design proposals; the Fine Aroma Cocoa Circuit and the Route of Enchantment. In the second phase, the supply and demand to develop agrotourism in the area was analyzed through the matrix of potentialities; thus, the existence of 6 farms with potential for agrotourism was determined and through the application of a survey it was shown that 37.87% of tourists show interest in the consumption of agrotourism products. Finally, in the third phase, an action plan was developed aimed at the use of technological tools as part of current trends, 8 actions aimed at the use of e-commerce for agrotourism products present in Portoviejo canton. The investigation showed that Portoviejo canton has potential agrotourism resources that are mainly found in the rural area and that through the use of SEO and SEM search engines, it will be possible to potentiate the tourist market in the region.
