总结:ABSTRACT The objective of the research was to evaluate the application of acetic acid in the drinking water of broilers Cobb 500. A completely randomized design was used, having as treatments: T0 (control), T1 (0.50 mL / L), T2 (1 mL / L) and T3 (1.50 mL / L). The data was evaluated by variance analysis using the Info stat software. The pH decreased with the increase of the acetic acid dose with the T3 being the lowest value with 3.6, similar condition occurred in the CFU (3.9) and cortisol (1.47 nm) variables. The weight gain is influenced by the application of acetic acid with T1 being the best until the fourth week, on the fifth T2, and on the sixth, T0 presents the highest average. The best accumulated weekly weight was achieved by T1 with 2280.8 g on the sixth week. In the conversion of accumulated food, T1 obtained the lowest average with 2.05. Regarding the performance of the channel T3 had the highest weight with 1993.2 g. The cost-benefit ratio resulted with a minimum profit margin in the treatments, with the highest gain T1 ($ 0.10). It is concluded that the use of acetic acid in concentrations higher than 1 mL / L in the water was a viable alternative to reduce the bacterial load in broiler chickens.
