Description
Summary:This study aims to know the current state of the logistics system of the Hotel Balandra for the direction of actions that contribute to the improvement of business management. The research has a mixed approach (qualitative-quantitative) and descriptive and explanatory. The methodological structure is made up of four important phases. In the first phase, a diagnosis of the current state of the hotel's logistics system was carried out, managing to identify its main characteristics such as category, infrastructure, service offer, market and organizational structure. Next, the processes that make up the company's logistics system were identified, such as supply, inventory, storage, distribution, transportation and customer service. These results were based on the inductive-deductive method of analysis and synthesis and the interview as a technique. In the second phase, a list of logistics indicators was defined through the bibliographic survey. Once the indicators were defined, they were submitted to the criteria of experts, obtaining a list of 14 indicators associated with the aforementioned logistics processes. The tools used in this phase were the expert validation matrix and the inductive-deductive, analysis-synthesis and the expert method as methods. In the third phase, the evaluation of the logistics system was developed, obtaining as a result that its state is regular since there are several shortcomings that interfere with its proper management. In the final phase of the research, an improvement action plan was designed for each of the shortcomings identified in the evaluation process.
