总结:The main objective of this research work was to evaluate the strengthening of the local capacities of students and teachers of the ITSI Private Educational Unit – Chone, through an environmental education strategy. The methodology proposed by the UNDP (2009) applied in the teaching and learning processes in students and teachers was used, which consisted of five steps, which were; participation, formulation and implementation of response, diagnosis and evaluation of capacities, which allowed the development of the local capacities of the actors involved; in addition, a training program was applied as an environmental education strategy, its fulfillment was developed in Hybrid Modality “Virtual-Distance”. The results of the initial diagnosis obtained showed that the actors involved in the research did not have knowledge about environmental education, as well as about sustainable development due to the lack of training on these topics. The work carried out with the participating groups gave sensitivity to the proposed topics and statistically it was determined that the strategy had a significant influence (p = 0.001) on the strengthening of local capacities (p<0.05), corroborating that the results of the level of Performance of students and teachers after environmental education was found at a level of "Good" to "Very Good".
