要約:The expected progeny difference (DEP) for birth weight (PN) and weaning weight adjusted to 205 days (PD) will be prolonged in Brahman-based mestizo females born between 2005 and 2021 at the "La Victoria" farm, Bucay canton, Guayas Province. 946 animals were analyzed with 351 records for PN and 314 for PD generated between 2011 and 2021. The statistical and animal model included therandom effect of the father and as fixed effects: year of birth and racial composition. The general linear model (GLM) procedure of the SAS statistical package was applied for analysis of variance. The variance components to calculate PN and PD genetic parameters were obtained with the VCE v.6 software and for breeding values, the MTDFRELM software was obtained, through the evaluation system of the Best Linear Unbiased Predictor (BLUP). An average of 37.64 ± 2.35 Kg was found for NP and 195.09 ± 30.12 Kg for PD. A highly significant difference (p≤0.01) was found for random and fixed effects, the heritability for NP was of 0.137 ± 0.209 and for PD of 0.386 ± 0.177 with genetic connections of -0.181 and it was found in the NP 36.47% of positive DEP and for PD 33.09%. It is concluded that the low and medium heritability found for PN and PD respectively, shows the high influence of non-genetic factors and due to the antagonism in the null genetic correlation, the PN should be improved and the PD used as a selection criterion.
