Captación de carbono en (Cordia alliodora) y (Albizia guachapele) como servicio ambiental para propuesta de plan de reforestación en Mata Palo

Gaia:The purpose of this research was to estimate carbon sequestration in the laurel (Cordia alliodora) and guachapelí (Albizia guachapele) species as an environmental service for a reforestation plan, for the characterization of the species in question; Villa's methodology (2005) was used, which consists in measuring the diameter of the species larger than 10 cm in transects of 50 m per 100 m, to determine the carbon capture rate, the methodologies of Ríos (2012) , Pazmiño & Pinargote (2018) and Rugnitz and Porro (2011) were applied, which allowed measuring the height, diameter and basal area of the species in comparison, the study area was 1 ha, in which it was possible to register as a species in abundance of guachapelí with 20 individuals equivalent to 28% in transect 1 and 17 individuals representing 20% in transect 2; highlighting transect 1 as the one with the largest number of individuals. The total laurel carbon capture was 1.45 (Ton / ha) and the guachapelí was 0.56 (Ton / ha), which reflects that the laurel is the specie that captures the most carbon in the study area. Taking into account the species with the highest uptake (Cordia alliodora) for the proposal of the reforestation plan using the following strategies that include: agroforestry systems with natural form, grass and tree systems in natural regeneration, management of live fences and seed bank.
