Omschrijving
Samenvatting:The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of banana peels (Musa paradisiaca), external onion cataphiles and plasticizer concentration on the (physical-mechanical) characteristics of a biopolymer. A Completely Random Design was applied with AxB factorial arrangement with three replications per 100 ml treatment, with starch percentages 10%, 20%, 30%; and cellulose 5%, 10%, 15%. The variables determined in the polymer were thickness, resistance to tension, elongation and biodegradability. The ANOVA revealed that the test of (ShapiroWilk) did not comply with the assumption of normality, its significance is less than 0.05 proceeding to perform the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA using homogeneous subsets, statistically indicated treatment T6 (10 ml of acetic acid and 5 ml of glycerin for 20% starch and 10% cellulose), the treatments T4, T5, T6 showed good resistance to tension, with a value of 0.821 MPa; for the variable elongation at break, the optimal glycerin concentration was correct, the physically processed film did not show significance, the samples made could be complying with the response variables studied. The thickness of the polymer was 0.233 mm. Biodegradability under anaerobic conditions treatment T4 showed a weight loss of 2.71% and under aerobic conditions treatment T6 showed a weight loss of 1.94% at the end of twenty days. The study results indicated the amount of proportional mixing of organic residues and the addition of plasticizer, which favorably influences their physical-mechanical characteristics for obtaining the biopolymer.
