Hollywood, copyright and TPP

This article is dedicated to exploring a number of clauses relating to copyright in the intellectual property chapter of the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement, the most ambitious free trade agreement that has been concluded since the establishment of the WTO. Known as TPP, the agreement was signed on February 4, 2016 by twelve countries of the Pacific Rim. The paper aims to contextualize the negotiation of standards copyright in the TPP as part of the US strategy to achieve higher levels of protection.
