要約:This paper aims to outline reflections that have been basting from qualitative studies on the role of media in the process of social stratification in the context of Latin American immigration in Europe and North America. We argue that to analyze and understand the communicative practices of Latin American diaspora is necessary to build interdisciplinary approaches which develope both a comprehensive and critical look (Retis , 2013a , 2011 , 2006). The processes of economic globalization require rethinking the traditional way national societies are observed as system of networks (Castells, 2006) leading to the deterritorialization of social life, transforming their cultural dimensions (Appadurai , 1997) and reconfiguring nodes in the context of global cities (Sassen , 2001). In this context, the links established between migration networks outline new diasporic spaces in which information and communication circuits are supported (Retis , 2008).
