Description
Summary:This article analyzes, from a Gramscian perspective, the different aspects of the National Strike of June 2022. It starts from the reflection on what is the social content of the movement that called for and adhered to the strike, as well as the impact it had on the balance of forces in dispute; the meaning of the proposed claims; the means/end relationship; the negotiation process, agreements, and disagreements post-strike. The unprecedented nature of this uprising is argued due to the displacement of the indigenous movement from contentious politics to deliberative and proposed politics, during a fragmented political scene.
