总结:Nowadays, conservative dentistry has been widely accepted by patients and clinicians. To perform it successfully, better bonding techniques are required. Objetive: The present study aimed to measured the bond strength between a resin cement and chromium-cobalt (CrCO) alloy subject to different surface treatments inorder to improve conservative dentistry techniques. Materials and methods: Eighty resin tubes were cemented onto 40 CrCo alloy discs, wich were all sandblasted before cementation. Four experimental groups were formed: the AC group (control) was only sandblasted. The AI group was cemented with glass ionomer, the APC group used a metal primer as a bonding agent. Finally the APC10 group had a metal primer and universal adhesive applied. Half of the resin cylinders were immediately tested for shear bond strength, while the other half undewent 5,000 aging cycles before being tested again.  Results: The sandblasted-only group obtained statistically similar bond strength values (15,44MPa) to those treated with chemical bonding agents, such as the APC group (12,90 MPa) and the APC10 group (16,44 MPa).The ionomer group obtained the lowest results (1,83 MPa). All statistics were worked witha p-value of ≤ 0,05. Conclusions: Sandblasting alone demostrated to be a very good mechanical treatment for improving the bond strength between a CRCO alloy asnd resin cement. The previous placement of adhesive agentes did not results in higher bond strength.
