| Summary: | Inclusive education is a fundamental principle for ensuring that universities are accessible and equitable spaces where all students can participate and thrive. This essay aimed to analyze the progress, challenges, and trends related to inclusive practices in the training of future educators. The methodology adopted a qualitative approach, including a literature review of relevant studies published in the last five years. For this purpose, databases such as SciELOo, Dialnet, and Google Scholar were used to explore theoretical and empirical research on inclusive policies, teacher training, pedagogical practices adapted to neurodiversity, advancements, challenges, and trends in university contexts. The comparative analysis indicated that although universities have made strides in implementing inclusion policies, structural and cultural barriers continue to limit their effectiveness. Among the advances, the universal design for learning (UDL), the use of accessible technologies, and the development of inclusive competencies in educational programs stand out. Furthermore, strengthening university teacher training is essential to ensure that future educators are prepared to address students' needs and become bridges to eliminate barriers to learning and participation. Ultimately, inclusive university education requires integrated efforts to overcome persistent challenges, considering the training of future educators not only as an ethical imperative but also as a foundation to guarantee quality education for all. These professionals are expected to bring these experiences to the various institutions where they will work. |
