Özet:The objective of this research work is to carry out a benchmarking study of the Dutch rose market to examine its production and commercialization processes and to evaluate the functionality of its procedures as a competitive strategy to increase the level of exports of Ecuadorian roses. For this purpose, a comparative analysis of data on export indexes, competitiveness and innovation indexes was carried out through the use of different theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis, as well as empirical methods such as the study of documents. All this to facilitate the interpretation, conceptualization and manipulation of the results obtained through the research. Among the most important findings to improve the Ecuadorian rose sector is to focus on greater investment in infrastructure and international logistics so Ecuador can handle a higher volume of exports, innovation is also considered an essential factor to increase rose production and therefore improve its global competitiveness, as well as the use of certifications that add more commercial value to roses, which will help to diversify the market in a more structured way.
