סיכום:This study proposes an eco-tourism management plan for the protected area Camarones in Jama. The research is part of the structure of a previous management plan carried out by the Provincial Government of Manabí for the creation of this protected area. In the methodology, the following processes and phases were necessary: diagnosis of current tourism situation, zoning, trail creation, and implementation of facilities and tourist sign. We used manuals from UICN and from the provincial conservation area system (SACP) along with georeferencing and GPS equipment. The aim was to use natural resources more sustainably through eco-tourism management. We found, through diagnosis and zoning, that the area is highly rich in natural resources and biodiversity, and that today, it is an ecosystem under threat of disappearance. The application of a management plan is important because it serves as a baseline for natural and cultural resource administration. The research constitutes a foundation for analysis, management and implementation of eco-tourism projects allowing the development of activities associated with tourism and sustainability. The resulting documents will be accessible at and linked to the Ministries of Environment and Tourism.
