Özet:The objective of the present study was to determine the prevalence of bovine brucellosis in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. The project was carried out between January 2012 and December 2016, samples were taken to 4 903 bovine. Rapid agglutination techniques were used in Rosa Bengal plaque and indirect ELISA. Positive to Bengal Rose 332 (6.77%) and indirect ELISA 164 (3.34%) animals, 282 (5.75%) animals were sacrificed from the total positives. The sampling was carried out by AGROCALIDAD in the areas where the producers had indications of the disease and in addition collections were made on farms to be certified as free from Brucellosis. With the National Bovine Brucellosis Program of eradication in the country, favorable results have been presented in the fall of the disease in the year 2012 the prevalence rate was 36.63% compared to the year 2016 of 2.4%.
