要約:The objective of the present investigation was to determine the “Bacteriological Quality of Raw Milk from two Milking Systems in Bovine Farms in the Maturín city, Monagas State”. The trial lasted six weeks and were quantified the populations of total coliforms (CT), faecal coliforms (CF) and Escherichia coli present in the sample; The data were processed following a distribution in random blocks with factorial arrangement (2x2) whose factor A represented the milking system: manual and mechanical, and the factor B was the application and omission of manual drying of teats for each animal prior to milking. The variable was examined by analysis of variance and its mean values compared by Tukey test at 5% of probability. In Factor A, were detected significant differences (p≤0,05) in the CT count, corresponding to the manual system, the lowest count with 5.76 Log10 NMP.mL-1. For Factor B, highly significant differences (p≤0.001) were found in the CT population, in this case the practice of drying the teat, obtained the lowest count with 5.60 Log10 NMP.mL-1. The populations of CF and E. coli decreased with the application of drying. The methods implemented during the milking routine directly influence the bacteriological quality of raw milk.
