Zusammenfassung:ne of the limitations that have been presented in the cultivation of coffee in the Central American region have been climatic variables, in which high temperatures, together with ultraviolet light levels, as well as rainfall and its intensity, have caused serious problems for the development of the crop. There are physiological imbalances that cause losses in stimulation and flower setting, reaching losses of more than 60% depending on the variety. The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of the new biostimulant on the flowering, ripening and quality of the fruits in coffee cultivation. Applied during the years 2018 and 2019, in a coffee farm located in Alajuela province, San Pedro de Póas canton, Finca La Hilda, Lote Murillo, Costa Rica. The effect of a biostimulant product, certified for production in organic farming, was evaluated. Two treatments applied foliarly at a dose of 3 L.ha-1 in two and three applications and an absolute control were compared, evaluating the stimulation and floral setting, productive nodes for the next cycle and quality of the fruits. The use of the biostimulant based on algae extract showed positive results in the differentiation, stimulation and fruit set phases with respect to the control, representing a viable ecological alternative with a favorable influence on flowering, inducers, fruiting, climate change, ecological alternative.
