总结:The article evaluates how Ecuadorian historiography has studied literate women’s access to vote in Ecuador, as approved by the Constituent Assembly of 1928-1929. It offers a critical review of the studies on the subject and a new reading of the reasons why the right to vote was granted to literate Ecuadorian women, who were the first to vote in Latin America.
