Summary:Good farming practices are nothing more than the set of rules, principles and technical considerations applicable in the milk production process, they are designed to ensure the sanitation of the place, animal health, health and safety of staff and minimize the impact generated in the environment through ecologically safe, hygienically acceptable and economically feasible methods. This degree project aims to develop the Manual of Good Farming Practices that will allow small and medium producers to establish guidelines for the proper management of the production system within their holdings and make a correct management of waste from daily activities within themselves. In the farm “La Ponderosa” an assessment of the management of the productive and environmental system was carried out, by applying a checklist based on guidelines Standardized Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP), design and management considerations presented in the Manual of Good Farming Practices. The carried out assessment lead to develop a proposal of the Implementation Plan for compliance with the manual, the plan aims to improve the quality parameters of milk.
