Izvleček:The project aims at developing a product extruded kind of a snack, based on white corn, which has been combined with soy protein without grease and water by 14%. Several tests were performed prior playing with variables such as humidity and the rpm of the extruder feed to achieve an adequate expansion diameter and the crunchy texture proposal. The specific objective focuses on the design of a plant that fits the needs of the product, whose characteristics are traditional in nature rather than as industrial production volume, reason why this project does not come to compete with large companies already established in the country. Other objectives were targeted to complement the functionality of the project, such as a market study to verify the reception of the product by the consumer, the financial analysis that determines the profitability and the exact amount to start operations, and the development of the product itself, where characteristics go hand in hand with consumer demands…
