| Sažetak: | It was characterized the biodiesel obtained from animal fats, vegetables by gas chromatography. Objectives on which the research was based: obtaining biodiesel from animal-vegetable fat, and determining the chemical physical properties. For the accomplishment of these aims, the equipment and supplies of the laboratories of the Department of Research of the State University of Bolivar were used. The molecular weights of each chemical species present in the oil or fat were determined, the volume of oil, methanol and its molar ratio of oil / methanol to be worked in the production of the product, which were 1 : 6 for palm oil, 1: 5 chicken fat and 1: 7.5 for pork; Thus obtaining the biodiesel. For the chemical characterization by gas chromatography, it was possible to identify the methyl esters present in the biodiesel and their elution times, as follows: methyl myristate (C14: 0) that eluted at minute 26; The methyl palmitate (C16: 0) which eluted at the 30th minute; The methyl palmitoleate (C16: 1) which was identified at 31 min; The methyl stearate (C18: 0) identified at minute 35; Methyl oleate (C18: 1) which was displayed at minute 36; And methyl linoleate (C18: 2) was finally identified at minute 37. The physical chemical characterization that was determined for the biodiesel, being the indicators of the quality; Average densities of biodiesel of 869 kg / m3 for chicken, 876 kg / m3 pig and 880.3 for palm; Viscosities of: 3.20 - 3.37 mm2 / s chicken, 3.96 - 4.04 mm2 / s pig and 4.79 - 4.87 mm2 / s for palm; Relatively high flash points in the order of 119.3 - 130.3 ° C, which provides biofuel storage conditions. 38.3 - 44.9 Cetane Index is a biofuel range of oil and two animal fats. These quality parameters are within the range allowed by international standards ASTM, therefore, biodiesel presents high chemical stability. |
