Las matemáticas tienen como característica principal su representación gráfica, de tal manera el uso del lenguaje icónico sirve de eje complementario dentro de una correcta metodología de enseñanza y sirven como potenciadores de su aprendizaje. De tal manera la recopilación de la información en esta investigación se enfoca en el uso de los elementos visuales para la elaboración de una guía que sirva para el aprendizaje e interpretación de las matemáticas. El lenguaje icónico presenta ventajas por el uso de elementos visuales que facilitan la interpretación del mensaje, al emplearse dentro de las metodologías de enseñanza con las respectivas representaciones visuales que se presentan en las matemáticas. El contexto del mensaje se fortalece a través de una comunicación no verbal, las técnicas visuales, el uso correcto de la diagramación, los elementos visuales acorde al contenido de los diferentes textos tradicionales utilizados en la escuela Ciudad de Latacunga. Dentro de la guía se recopila la información necesaria ajustada y esquematizada con parámetros visuales tal como se fundamenta en el uso del lenguaje icónico, para que el estudiante adquiera de manera dinámica, muestre su interés hacia la asignatura y su nivel de interpretación no se vea afectado. Lo que le permite aumentar su motivación por el conocimiento y por ende mejora su nivel y desarrollo académico..Due to the constant changes that society suffers and the social aspects presented in families, for decades it has generated a problem that has been presented in the majority of students in the early stages of learning within educational institutions, this problem is the low level of interpretation in students when learning math, because mathematics is exact science and its study involves a theoretical basis, they usually present complications in interpretation through the traditional methods used by teachers. Math has its main characteristic its graphic representation, in such way the use of language serves as complementary axis within a correct teaching methodology and serve as learning enhancers. Thus the information collection in this research focuses on the use of visual elements for development of a guide that serves for learning and interpretation of mathematics. Iconic language presents advantages for use of visual elements that facilitate the message interpretation, used within teaching methodologies with respective visual representations that appear in the math. Message context is strengthened through non-verbal communication, visual techniques, correct layout use and the visual elements according to different traditional text content used in Ciudad de Latacunga School. Necessary information is compiled and sketched with visual parameters as it is based on the use of iconic language within the guide, for the student dynamically acquire and show interest to the subject. And interpretation level don’t be affected. This allows to increase motivation for knowledge and therefore improves level and academic development.
