The main problem in this project is the lack of skills to develop relevant reading comprehension activities at this educational level. Through digital vocabulary methodologies and resources, the objective was to improve students' reading comprehension skills and vocabulary of texts in English. This project had as a reference methodological alternative based on children’s literature activities and vocabulary acquisition, using digital flashcards and children’s literature fragments compilation that help potential the skills required in the learning process, thus complementing their academic education. Conclude that the deficit in developing reading comprehension skills is based on ignorance of methodological structures when reading enhance. It is one of the most significant problems among students. His research offers a different methodological facility that aims to develop students' comprehensive skills and literary analysis. As the main recommendation, the complementary use of children’s literature or flashcards activities is suggested to obtain a better development of reading comprehension skills in students. Enesta investigación se analizó el resultado de las carencias y necesidades de los estudiantes del nivel A2.1 en el respectivo desarrollo académico en comprensión lectora en las Clases de Inglés del nivel superior. El principal problema de este proyecto es la falta de habilidades para desarrollar actividades de comprensión lectora relevantes en este nivel educativo. A través de metodologías y recursos de vocabulario digital, el objetivo fue mejorar las habilidades de comprensión lectora y el vocabulario de textos en inglés de los estudiantes. Este proyecto tuvo como referencia una alternativa metodológica basada en actividades de literatura infantil y adquisición de vocabulario, utilizando tarjetas digitales y recopilación de fragmentos de literatura infantil que ayudan a potencializar las habilidades requeridas en el proceso de aprendizaje, complementando así su formación académica. Concluir que el déficit en el desarrollo de las habilidades de comprensión lectora se basa en el desconocimiento de las estructuras metodológicas a la hora de mejorar la lectura. Es uno de los problemas más significativos entre los estudiantes. Su investigación ofrece una facilidad metodológica diferente que tiene como objetivo desarrollar las habilidades integrales y el análisis literario de los estudiantes.Universidad de Guayaquil.
