| Zusammenfassung: | Kindergarten teachers must develop competencies, skills, and qualities to be able to identify and teach students with Special Educational Needs (SEN); that is, these competences favor the detection and approach of SEN within the educational classroom from an early age. For this reason, this research sought to analyze the relationship between teaching skills and early detection of children with SEN at the initial level of the “José Francisco Polit Ortiz” Basic Education School of the Virgen de Fátima parish, Km 26 in the Yaguachi Cantón, Guayas, Ecuador. This research is based on a non-experimental methodological design, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, exploratory-descriptive scope, using the interview and observation sheet as techniques. The main results showed that preschool teachers have knowledge about the detection of SEN, but it is necessary to reinforce their inclusive skills, to favor attention to diversity within the classroom, even more so because the education was carried out virtually.
