Zusammenfassung:This research was aimed to determine the development of mathematical, verbal, and abstract logical thinking of students from 8th GBE (General Basic Education) and 2nd UGB (Unified General Baccalaureate). This project applied a methodology with a quantitative approach, descriptive, comparative, and transversal scope. The instrument used through this process was the DAT 5 (Differential Aptitudes Test five edition) Version 1 and 2. The sample was 100 GBE and UGB students from Unidad Educativa “San Andrés”. When comparing the results of students from 8th GBE and 2nd UGB, it is evident that there is a similarity in both groups in numerical reasoning. It is also observed that in verbal reasoning, students from 2nd UGB have a visible decrease regarding 8th GBE students, and finally, 8th GBE students have a notable lack of development in the abstract area compared to students from 2nd UGB.
