要約:This research project focuses on diagnosing the level of use of cognitive strategies to improve self-regulation of reading comprehension in university students. It proposes that Finland has the highest reading comprehension level and seeks to determine if Ecuador also has a reasonable level. The objectives that guide the work are: the general one is to diagnose the use of cognitive strategies for self-regulation of text comprehension; the specific objectives are to select these strategies to apply them and to describe the self-regulation processes. In its frame of reference, it has previous research related to the research variables. On the other hand, the theoretical framework has information that supports using the selected cognitive strategies, positively relating them to academic performance. In summary, it seeks to demonstrate using mental techniques to improve self-regulated reading comprehension at UNACH. In addition, the data collected in the sample that corresponds to the 36 fourth semester students of the Basic Education Career, belonging to the total population that are the students of all levels of the same career, through the use of the questionnaire as a data collection instrument, which belongs to the survey technique, the results are tabulated and represented in a percentage way, along with an analysis and interpretation of results. In addition, the research maintains a mixed approach of non-experimental design; it is basic and descriptive due to its typology, which is field, bibliographic, and documentary. In its final part, the work contains conclusions regarding the objectives, along with recommendations based on each conclusion, to conclude with the bibliography and the annexes.
