Summary: | The research mainly based on collecting information on the customs and traditions of the Bayushig Parish, which belongs to the Penipe canton. The purpose of the research is to rescue and preserve the cultural manifestations of the place. Once all the Intangible Cultural Heritage has been rescued, the historical memory of the mentioned parish can be preserved and preserved. It should be noted that traditions and customs have lost their value over the years, as today's youth choose to follow customs or fashions from other places. It is necessary to consider that this parish stands out for preserving its cultural identity since it has made an effort so that its customs and traditions are not affected by other fashions or new updates in the generation of young people. This cultural identity is important because it distinguishes the people of Bayushig from the other parishes, it can be pointed out that the inhabitants of this town seek that future generations of young people take advantage of this important legacy left by their ancestors, given that they are in charge of spreading them to the following generations and that their culture continues to be preserved. It is essential to know the methods that were used in the research. Descriptive and exploratory methods used to collect information from the parish. All this information was obtained thanks to direct observation in the place studied. Besides, the preparation and application of the interviews were fundamental. They were directed to the inhabitants and authorities of the parish. These interviews were applied mainly to adults because they know their traditions and customs and indigenous celebrations. Adults are the ones who gave more data and information about the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the place. Thanks to them, it is known. Traditions have been changing and losing over the years. Finally, obtaining the information of the inhabitants, it was proceeded to write and fill in the files of the National Institute of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Thanks to the Intangible Heritage was registered in the files, 15 assets could be recovered, which are essential for the parish. |
