| Résumé: | The main objective of this research was to develop a guide for the elaboration of didactic material with the purpose of learning factorization. A mixed approach with a sequential explanatory design (DEXPLIS) was applied because it was developed in two different continuous phases, on the other hand, the population considered was 466 students of Higher General Basic Education and the sample considered was 93 students of the ninth year and two teachers who were in charge of that level. In addition, as a data collection instrument, a survey and an objective test were applied to students, as well as an interview with teachers in order to be aware of their perspectives and criticisms about the appreciations in reference to the use of didactic material for learning factorization. It was possible to establish that for the most part the institution has didactic material available but teachers do not make use of the available resources and students face learning difficulties in the subject of factoring. The results were tabulated in tables using Microsoft Excel software, which allowed confirming the lack of use of didactic materials and the difficulties found by means of the objective test and the questionnaire applied, where the students indicated having problems in practical and theoretical aspects. The research concludes highlighting the need to use didactic material and the students present difficulties as follows. It is recommended to use concrete, abstract material and not only the basic or traditional. Finally, a guide for the elaboration of specific didactic material for the learning of factorization is proposed. |
