| description | The study addresses the problem of the low use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve reading comprehension in seventh grade students of the “Patate” Basic School. The general objective is to establish AI application strategies that promote reading comprehension in students of seventh grade parallel “C” of the Escuela Básica Patate period 2024-2025 and its specific objectives are to select AI tools for reading comprehension, to develop classroom strategies using AI and to describe reading comprehension through AI strategies. The methodology is qualitative with a non-experimental design, employing the ethnographic method to observe and interact directly with students in their environment. Field and bibliographic research was conducted to describe in detail the phenomena associated with the use of AI, the study population consisted of 15 students in the seventh year of EGB in which the observation technique was applied to record their interaction with AI as a learning tool. Las variables principales son la inteligencia artificial como herramienta educativa y la comprensión lectora. El objetivo general es establecer estrategias de aplicación de la IA que promuevan la comprensión lectora de estudiantes de séptimo año paralelo “C” de la Escuela Básica Patate periodo 2024-2025 y sus objetivos específicos son seleccionar herramientas de IA para la comprensión lectora, elaborar estrategias para el aula mediante la IA y describir la comprensión lectora a través de las estrategias de IA. La metodología es cualitativa con un diseño no experimental, empleando el método etnográfico para observar e interactuar directamente con los estudiantes en su entorno. Se realizó investigación de campo y bibliográfica para describir detalladamente los fenómenos asociados al uso de la IA, la población de estudio estuvo constituida 15 estudiantes de séptimo año EGB en el cual se les aplicó la técnica de observación para registrar su interacción con la IA como herramienta de aprendizaje.
