To verify this information we departed from a theory that focuses on the two variables of study: The Literacy and phonological awareness. This project began as a non-experimental research design, and its type of field and it was researched in the place of the facts. Taking as a population to 25 units in the first year of Basic Education, this universe will be a support to highlight the statistical sample, using as technical observation and as an instrument the tab of observation with 8 items of multiple selections. Finally, these determine that the literacy influences the development of the phonological awareness. |

Finally, these determine that the literacy influences the development of the phonological awareness.Este trabajo investigativo partió del problema vivido en la Unidad Educativa “Riobamba”, siendo este la falta de conocimientos y actividades que poseen los niños y niñas en la conciencia fonológica, para ello se partió del objetivo general que es determinar la influencia de la lectoescritura en el desarrollo de la conciencia fonológica en los niños de 5 años de la Unidad Educativa “Riobamba”. Para verificar esta información se partió de una teoría que se enfoca en las dos variables de estudio: La Lectoescritura y Conciencia fonológica. Este proyecto inició de un diseño de investigación no experimental, y su tipo de campo por lo que se indagó en el lugar de los hechos. Teniendo como población a 25 unidades de primer año de Educación Básica, este universo será un apoyo para destacar la muestra estadística, utilizando como técnica la observación y como instrumento la ficha de observación con 8 ítems de selección múltiple.
