"in Riobamba city , Chimborazo province in the academic year 2018-2019, the population is composed by 30 students and 1 teacher. This study is based on the qualitative approach, a process of Observation to describe the characteristics of the problem, considering scientific and empirical information about the use of strategies to provide corrective feedback to students in their written work. The ethnographic method and direct observation were used to gather the necessary information to expand the research, the purpose of this research is to analyze the methods that the teacher uses when correcting written work of students, its importance and how these methods affect the English teaching and learning process positively or negatively.
