Sammanfattning:At the moment, it is essential to implement teaching strategies by the teacher and the implementation of activities to encourage motivation in students. Creating pleasant environments for learning, these spaces must be to meet the needs of education in general, for this reason, the present research was carried out to determine the teaching strategies for learning mathematics in the students of the Tenth Year of Basic General Education, parallel “A” of the Unidad Educativa Camilo Gallegos Toledo in the 2019-2020 school year. The design is non-experimental because there was no manipulation of the variables; its level is descriptive; data collection was carried out through a survey to 32 students who make up the entire population involved in the study. The results obtained through the questionnaire were subsequently related to the grade scores of the first two partial marks. This information found that students agree with most aspects involved in the educational process, including the institutional environment, sequential procedures, time spent on teaching, among others. However, it is noted that some of them need to be improved, such as the resources used for teaching, pre-class motivation, and especially study techniques by the learners.
