要約:Symbolic play is a fundamental part of cognitive development in the teaching-learning process during the first levels of preschool, as it is an activity that develops innately and naturally in the child. It is then relevant that symbolic play can be strengthened from the Initial Education Curriculum as a tool that allows enhancing the recognition and learning of the natural and social environment that surrounds children. The field research with the inductive and analytical method was used to get to know the situation of the population in terms of the effective use of the symbolic game. This research compiled a theoretical framework at a pedagogical level, which highlights the virtues of symbolic play in the learning of the natural and social environment in children. This literature review is aligned to the set objectives, which led us to determine how symbolic play affects the early formation of children. Since the research design is experimental in nature, it was possible to have the participation of children from the child development center, parents, and teachers. In conclusion, it is important to promote the use of symbolic play by teachers for the learning of the natural and social environment to take place in a more effective, dynamic, and interactive way.
