總結:Hematoxylin-eosin staining has been considered essential and fundamental over the years; the present research is of a non-experimental documentary nature. It has a qualitative approach because a compilation of information related to the subject was made; it also adopted a descriptive scope; since data related to the subject were obtained. The objective was to carry out a bibliographic investigation about the hematoxylin-eosin staining's characterization according to postmortem status and analyze the similarities it presents with clinical histopathology. The forensic field currently has a high level of importance because it is responsible for explaining and proving a crime and determining its perpetrators. This is done through a set of scientific techniques and procedures, divided into several areas. Forensic histopathology belongs to this branch of knowledge. Its primary function is to help the forensic doctor to determine the cause of death of the deceased. Thus, a series of protocols linked to histological knowledge is carried out, which are detailed in the current research project. The hematoxylin-eosin staining process has relevance. Thanks to its excellent work in staining the different tissue structures, the cell morphology of the tissues or organs understudy can be observed through the light microscope. Besides, different studies were analyzed with techniques that can be implemented in the forensic histopathology laboratory to obtain a better result at the time of staining.
