Yhteenveto:The purpose of this research was to diagnose the family context in the socio-educational development of the secondary EGB students of the Sicalpa Educational Unit, during the 2023-2024 school year. With a qualitative approach, since the usefulness of this research lies in the detection of weaknesses in the family context in favor of the socio-educational development of students of basic secondary education, in order to systematize the information to serve as a basis for the generation of social and educational projects that improve the identified problems. With an exploratory scope, since it is a scarcely studied reality and requires an investigative process, which serves as a basis for the design of projects and programs to improve this vulnerable population. The population was made up of 36 parents of students enrolled in the Sicalpa Educational Unit. The technique was the survey, and the instrument was the structured questionnaire. Among the relevant results, it is highlighted that the majority of parents frequently discuss the future with their children; however, there is a percentage of parents who do so sporadically, which is worrying since at this stage of life for a child As a child, it is important to know that his or her aspirations are supported by the family environment in order to achieve them one day. Regarding socio-educational development, it is evident that parents prioritize the stimulation of traditional values such as respect and courage, leaving aside soft skills such as teamwork.
