Description
Summary:Digitalization has profoundly transformed the supply chain, improving efficiency and visibility in logistics processes, where technologies such as the Internet, artificial intelligence, and data analytics enable optimization of inventory control, demand planning, and product tracking. These advances have allowed companies to minimize operational costs and increase competitiveness by responding quickly to market changes. The purpose of this research is to establish the main theoretical contributions for improving the supply chain in manufacturing companies. Several main methods were used, including: document analysis and the application of two inclusion and exclusion parameters, which led to findings that provided a broader context through the review of updated reports, articles, and presentations. This methodology will ensure that the study is based on solid and diverse information, contributing to a comprehensive study of the impacts and challenges, enabling greater visibility and real-time traceability. However, challenges in the production system remain, such as the technological adaptation of companies, the management of big data, and the need for continuous staff training to fully leverage new tools.
